Overview

Brompton Square is a carefully considered lighting design project set within a distinguished Grade II listed townhouse in Knightsbridge. The brief was to create a lighting scheme that felt elegant, comfortable and easy to live with, while respecting the historic character of the building. The design takes a gentle approach, using light to bring out the beauty of the restored architecture, highlight key features and support the balance between heritage detail and modern family living.

Inside the home, the lighting is layered and discreet, helping each space feel warm, practical and inviting. Simple downlights, track lighting and concealed linear LED details provide flexibility without overwhelming the interiors. In the main living spaces, the lighting works alongside the generous natural daylight, adding softness in the evening and drawing attention to artwork, shelving and architectural details. The pool area is one of the key lighting moments, where linear LED lighting washes the walls, follows the ceiling detail and reflects beautifully across the water to create a calm, spa-like atmosphere.

Outside, the lighting adds warmth and depth to the restored townhouse and garden areas. Carefully placed exterior lighting highlights the brickwork, improves visibility and creates a welcoming feel after dark without feeling too bright or overdesigned. Across the project, the lighting design is used not only for function, but to shape the atmosphere of the home, making Brompton Square feel refined, comfortable and beautifully considered throughout.
