Overview
Malvern Court required a lighting design approach that supported the complete reworking of the apartment, helping to bring clarity, flow and atmosphere to what had previously been a disconnected series of small rooms. With the plan opened up and rationalised, the lighting was developed to guide movement through the apartment, frame key views and clearly define the balance between private areas and spaces designed for entertaining.
The scheme uses layered lighting to enhance the apartment’s calm and controlled interior palette while celebrating its more luxurious material details. Discreet architectural lighting, concealed LED details, and carefully selected decorative fittings work together to create warmth, depth and flexibility. Within the open living areas, the lighting helps zone each space without interrupting the sense of openness, while accent lighting highlights bespoke joinery, gilded metal panels, textured finishes and the rich stone used throughout.
In the more intimate areas, the lighting becomes softer and more atmospheric, bringing out the tactile qualities of the leather, metallic tiles and darker finishes. Bathrooms, study spaces and bedrooms are treated with a more focused and refined approach, balancing practical light with a sense of luxury. The result is a sophisticated lighting scheme that enhances the quality of the materials, supports the new layout and gives Malvern Court a calm, elegant and highly bespoke character.
