Croma Floor Lamp

The Croma Floor Lamp, designed by Luca Nichetto for Lodes, takes its name from the Italian word for a quaver, or musical eighth note, embodying rhythm, movement, and dynamism in its slender, architectural silhouette. Standing at an impressive 186 cm, Croma reimagines the traditional floor lamp by reversing its structure – instead of opening at the top, its sleek conical base grounds the design, while its elongated body directs a powerful wash of light upwards across walls and ceilings. The result is a statement piece that is both sculptural and highly functional, bringing drama and atmosphere to any setting.

Practicality is seamlessly integrated into Croma’s design language. A discreet touch-sensitive ring, positioned halfway up the stem, allows the user to switch the lamp on and off and to activate its advanced dim-to-warm feature. This technology enables smooth adjustment of the light temperature from a candle-like 2200K to a natural 3200K, adapting easily from soft, intimate ambience to brighter, more energising illumination. The lamp’s strong light output makes it equally suited to residential living rooms and bedrooms as it is to commercial environments such as lounges, hotel lobbies, or workspaces.

Croma is available in four elegant finishes, each highlighting a different aspect of its refined design. Two metallic ombré effects — fading from green to black and from bronze to nickel — echo the gradient of light as it travels upward, giving the piece a striking, contemporary edge. Alternatively, the solid matte white and matte black versions provide a textural subtlety that integrates effortlessly into minimalist or modern interiors.
