NL12 Pendant Light is a bold and refined lighting statement conceived by designer Sebastian Summa for DCWéditions. Designed to illuminate large dining tables, the luminaire is composed of twelve glass tubes arranged in a trompe l’oeil composition, where only one tube acts as the true light source. The remaining tubes relay light through refraction and prism, creating an ethereal, celestial beam with no visible LEDs, wiring or aluminium structure. The result is a radical yet poetic object that appears to float effortlessly in space.

To suspend this luminous beam, Summa designed a pair of gallows-like brackets, engineered to perfectly balance the composition while adding a post-industrial, athletic character. Finished in black and rising 70cm from the ceiling, the brackets support a structure measuring at least 1.30 metres in length and weighing 7.6kg. The twelve glass tubes are non-fixed and can be repositioned—aligned precisely or offset to create rhythm and movement. Equipped with an integrated 2700K LED, NL12 sits between eloquent minimalism and sophisticated brutalism, asserting itself as a powerful architectural centrepiece.
