Seagull Wall Light explores a fundamental design question: how can a luminaire remain discreet and refined while enhancing a space rather than dominating it? Drawing inspiration from the timeless elegance of Art Deco, the design reinterprets this heritage through a contemporary lens. Its softly diffused light recalls Frank Lloyd Wright’s Johnson Wax Building (1936–1939), where glass tubes transformed exterior light into an interior glow of remarkable subtlety and warmth.
Inspired by this idea of illumination without visible source, Thierry Dreyfus envisioned the Seagull collection as he would wish to experience it in his own home today. Light spreads quietly and evenly, shaping atmosphere while allowing architecture and interior details to take precedence.
