The first Gras lamp, designed by founder Bernard-Albin Gras, was both simple and ergonomic. It was devoid of either screws or welded joints in its basic form. The designer is regarded as one of the most original lighting designers of the 20th century. Architect and designer, Le Corbusier, was an admirer of his work, as were Eileen Gray and Robert Mallet-Stevens. The Gras lamp’s timelessness and simplicity has made it famous the world over.
