DCW éditions
DCW éditions Lighting creates objects that connect the past, present, and future. Every piece is well conceived, well designed, and well made. The brand’s philosophy is simple: to design objects that last, endure trends, and act as companions to daily life. A lamp or object by DCWéditions is not about nostalgia but about honesty, truth, and timeless design.
The journey began with Bernard-Albin Gras and the famous GRAS lamp. This was the first articulated lamp of the 20th century, admired by Le Corbusier and many others. From this foundation, DCWéditions expanded its catalogue to include objects and collections that continue to define modern design.
In 2013, DCWéditions reissued Bernard Schottlander’s Mantis lamps, mobile sculptures created in the 1950s as an homage to Alexander Calder. In 2014, the Lampe Gras Outdoor XL was launched, followed by Les Acrobates de Grasand Mobilier de Gras in 2015 at Euroluce. The same year also brought the re-edition of Bertrand Balas’s Here Comes the Sun, a pendant that transforms dramatically when lit.
2015 also marked the debut of In The Tube, designed by Dominique Perrault and Gaëlle Lauriot-Prévost. This high-performance range combines function with the aesthetic of science fiction. In 2017, DCWéditions introduced Les Doubles de Gras and ISP Lamp by Ilia Potemine. With its futuristic “light shuttle” design, the ISP demonstrated the brand’s commitment to innovation grounded in tradition.
The adventure has continued with new collections such as Jacques Biny’s BINY and the poetic In The Sun. Recent years have also seen the launch of Éric de Dormael’s creations, expanding the catalogue further. Each collection remains in dialogue with the others, reinforcing the brand’s vision of objects as companions for life.
Today, DCWéditions Lighting is internationally recognised for its ability to merge heritage with innovation. Its collections are specified for residential, commercial, and cultural projects across the world. Choosing DCWéditions means choosing objects that are timeless, durable, and deeply considered. With every lamp, the brand continues its mission: to design objects that matter, today and for generations to come.
