Lampe C Pendant Light is a contemporary reinterpretation of the classic chandelier, designed by Thierry Dreyfus in 2025. Formed entirely from thousands of stainless steel links, it replaces crystal with reflection, transforming light into a shimmering cascade. Sculptural, poetic and architectural, it brings timeless grandeur into modern interiors.

Lampe C Pendant Light draws on centuries of chandelier history—from iron and wood structures to crystal and Murano glass masterpieces that once illuminated castles, operas and grand museums. At the dawn of the 20th century, electric light reshaped this typology, notably through the collaboration between J&L Lobmeyr and Thomas Edison. In 2025, designer Thierry Dreyfus revisits this lineage with a radical yet respectful reinterpretation that honours tradition while redefining materiality.
Retaining the iconic silhouette of the most classic chandelier, Lampe C replaces glass and crystal with approximately 6,400 stainless steel chain links. Light bounces endlessly across these reflective surfaces, creating a constellation of shimmering droplets suspended in space. This “chandelier in chains” achieves a rare balance—monumental yet ethereal—perpetuating the enduring magic of light through pure reflection, rhythm and form.
