The Original 1933 Design Large “Paper Cream” Pendant Light exudes a comforting tone, reminiscent of childhood tales and the adventures that await within the pages of an old paper map. Never to fade or tarnish, all the history and curiosity of Harry Beck’s original London Underground map is preserved in our signature high-gloss enamel. These lampshades form the foundation of countless great journeys, whether beneath the streets of London or in distant lands.

Featuring the intricate enamelling of Harry Beck’s first edition London Underground map in the reflector, this lampshade is a masterpiece whether switched on or off. The Paper Cream shade blends seamlessly into a busy dining room, with flashes of color from the expertly hand-enamelled map sparking conversations across every table.

The Original 1933 Design Large “Paper Cream” Pendant Light provides greater ambient light than the Original 1933 design, thanks to the lightbulb sitting slightly higher in the larger gallery opening. This design allows for a wider and softer cone of light to be emitted below. Sharing the same visual language and proportions as the Original 1933 Design™ shade, this larger version shapes light differently, making it perfect for main room or statement lighting.
