The Chapeaux V Table Lamp is a refined lighting piece designed by Rodolfo Dordoni, where the components have been meticulously reduced to a minimum. This elegant table lamp features a transparent glass base that nearly vanishes from view, supporting a luminous core and a freely placed glass diffuser that provides a soft, ambient light experience.
The lamp includes three diffusers in various forms, materials, and finishes, which can be freely positioned on the transparent glass body. The glass body supports the light source, an opal polycarbonate ampoule containing the technical lighting components, creating the illusion of it floating within the glass. A small brushed aluminium rod at the top functions as a touch dimmer, allowing for three levels of light adjustment and retaining the last dimmer setting when activated by a wall switch.
The V version's diffuser is crafted from blown cased glass with a glossy finish. The light passes through the diffuser, illuminating it from within to create a soft, ambient atmosphere. The warm white version features a unique design where the glass appears pure white when off and transforms to an ivory hue when illuminated, thanks to the inner layer of pale yellow “pagliesco” glass.
